About

Maclean Architecture was set up in 2015 by James Maclean.  I am an RIBA Chartered Architect as well as being registered with the ARB (Architects Registration Board).  I have over fifteen years of experience as a qualified architect and have worked for several Yorkshire practices.  For the previous twelve years I worked for the respected practice of Wildblood Macdonald in Wetherby where I was an associate architect.  I have wide experience in master-planning, designing housing schemes for property developers and private housing.

I work with my clients to develop their ideas and explore all the options to give them the best possible service.  I try to design distinctive and thoughtful buildings that do more than just fulfill their brief, but excite interest and add value.
